Title : Online debating platforms: from argument mapping to decision-aiding
Abstract: Providing tools which help people to exchange arguments in a structured manner has tremendous potential for e-democracy. However, while many debating platforms are now available online, the theory allowing to make sense of such debates and support deliberation is still in its infancy. In this lecture I will overview the main challenges that remain to be faced, and point to recent promising developments.
